The Center has taken a key decision on Former Telangana Government Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar VRS. AP government has already taken a decision agreeing to VRS. Now the Department of Central Personnel and Training Affairs of DoPT has allowed Somesh to take voluntary retirement. He was ready to officially join BRS as VRS got permission. As part of that, he recently participated in a tour of Maharashtra along with CM KCR.
The stage is set for former Telangana CS Somesh Kumar's political entry. Somesh Kumar is a 1989 batch IAS officer from Bihar state. Worked in various positions in various departments. He also served as Municipal Commissioner of Greater Hyderabad for a long time. Somesh was assigned to the Andhra Pradesh cadre during the bifurcation of the state.

But he continued in Telangana with CAT orders. Promoted as Chief Secretary to Govt. The Center challenged the CAT order in the High Court. With this, the High Court has issued orders to relieve him from Telangana and report to AP immediately.
With this, Somesh immediately reported in AP. Although he reported in AP, he was not given posting by AP government. After that Somesh applied to VRS. AP government has given permission for this. AP CM Jagan approved Somesh VRS.
Now Central Personnel and Training Affairs Department has given permission. It seems that Somesh has made it clear that it will come into force from the time of approval. With this, now the line is cleared for Somesh to step into politics. Chief Minister KCR has faith in Somesh. There has been a campaign going on for some time that Somesh will be given a key post in BRS, which has transformed into a national party.

With the approval of VRS from the Centre, Somesh also went to KCR's visit to Maharashtra. Somesh appeared in the BRS meeting held in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. KCR made a special mention of him on the stage. Now it seems that there is a possibility of appointing Somesh as the national level representative of BRS. However, another argument is being heard that his services will be used in the state first as there are Telangana elections. With this, now the discussion has started on the position available in Somesh's political innings.
