As part of annual inspections, District Superintendent of Police (SP) T. Srinivas Rao, IPS, visited the Kodandapur Police Station and reviewed the station premises, records, staff discipline, and overall functioning.
During the inspection, the SP emphasized the importance of road safety along National Highway-44 (NH-44), which passes through the Kodandapur Police Station limits. He instructed officers to identify black spots — accident-prone areas — and implement preventive measures to reduce road mishaps.
The SP advised that truck and lorry drivers who park vehicles on the roadside at night for rest should be warned in advance to prevent accidents. He directed that Village Road Safety Committees under each jurisdiction must work proactively to spread awareness about road safety and traffic rules among commuters.
Highlighting the need for community policing, SP T. Srinivas Rao IPS urged officers to handle public complaints politely, ensure quality investigation in every case, and conduct awareness programs to prevent cybercrimes. He also encouraged educating citizens about the importance of CCTV cameras for safety and crime prevention.
Expressing satisfaction over the station’s upkeep and record maintenance, the SP concluded the inspection by planting saplings on the premises, promoting environmental protection and green policing.
Additional SP K. Shankar, DSP Mogiliya, and CI Ravibabu accompanied the SP during the inspection.
