A preparatory meeting was held regarding the implementation of the “Public Governance – Progress Plan” 99-Day Action Plan, which has been designed by the state government to accelerate development activities. State Minister for Sports, Youth Services, Dairy Development, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, Vakiti Srihari, participated in the meeting and provided important directions to officials and public representatives.
The meeting was attended by public representatives and senior officials from the undivided Khammam district, where discussions were held on implementing the action plan from the village level up to the district level.
Development Must Begin at the Village Level
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Vakiti Srihari said the 99-day action plan should be implemented from villages to mandals, constituencies, and district levels. He emphasized that no matter how well the government designs programs, their successful implementation depends greatly on the cooperation of officials.

Welfare Schemes Should Be Beyond Politics
The minister stressed that beneficiary selection must be transparent and free from political influence. If welfare schemes fail to reach eligible people, the reasons must be identified and corrected immediately.
He instructed officials to visit villages, interact with people, understand their problems directly, and resolve them quickly.

Hyderabad to Host International Women’s Hockey Tournament
Minister Srihari announced that Hyderabad’s Gachibowli Stadium will host the prestigious Federation International Hockey Women’s World Qualifier Tournament 2026 starting from March 8.
He also revealed plans to build a modern sports hospital in Gachibowli to provide treatment for athletes injured during sports activities.
