Family Donates Crores-Worth Residential Property to CPI(M) in Chennai

Chennai: In a significant gesture of support for public and political activities, Advocate E. Gokulakrishnan formally donated his family’s residential property, located on Dr. Natesan Road, Ice House, Triplicane, Chennai, to the Central Chennai District Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)).

Advocate E. Gokulakrishnan handed over the property documents to CPI(M) Tamil Nadu State Secretary Comrade P. Shanmugam. The property, reportedly valued at several crores of rupees, was donated to facilitate the party’s organizational and public activities.

Speaking on the occasion, Comrade P. Shanmugam expressed his appreciation and gratitude to Advocate E. Gokulakrishnan and his wife, Dr. V. Jayanthi Gokulakrishnan, for their generous contribution. He said the donation reflected their commitment to supporting the party’s activities and broader public causes.

The formal registration of the property and the handing over of the relevant documents took place during a special programme organized to commemorate the 100th birth anniversary of Fidel Castro.

During the event, G. Selva, Secretary of the Central Chennai District Committee, honoured Advocate E. Gokulakrishnan with a shawl and conveyed his thanks for the family’s contribution.

The donation has been described by CPI(M) leaders as a noteworthy contribution to strengthening the party’s organizational infrastructure in Chennai. The property is expected to support the party’s activities and programmes in the Central Chennai region.
