WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION (WHO) JOINT EXTERNAL EVALUATION MISSION VISITS EMERGENCY SERVICES DEPARTMENT
The World Health Organization (WHO) Joint External Evaluation Mission visits Emergency Services Department. The JEE is part of the International Health Regulations (IHR) Monitoring and Evaluation Framework and is a voluntary, multi-sectoral process to assess the country’s capacity to prevent, detect, and rapidly respond to public health risks.
The WHO Mission was briefed by Secretary Emergency Services Dr Rizwan Naseer about the Integrated Emergency Management System, its governance framework, functions of emergency services and emergency response mechanism managed through the Emergency Management & Dispatch System (EMDS) installed in Emergency Operations Center (EOCs) established in all districts of Punjab and monitored by the Provincial Emergency Operation Center (PEOC) to ensure uniform standards of the Emergency Services in all cities of Punjab.
