If It Rains, the Palair Constituency Is in Peril!
✍️ This is not some remote agency area deep in the forest.
This is Birole Gram Panchayat in Palair Constituency, right next to the R&B Road near Bandampalli village.
In 2024, heavy floods washed away the bridge on this road. It has been a year, yet the bridge has not been rebuilt — a fact that is both shocking and unacceptable. This is not merely a transportation issue; it is a matter that puts the lives of the villagers at risk.
Transportation That Risks Lives
In Palair constituency, employees — especially health workers — are risking their lives to fulfill their duties. ANMs, Asha workers, and MLHP teams have no option but to cross this stream to reach Bandampalli village from nearby Birole.
Recently, an urgent situation arose — a pregnant woman in Bandampalli needed to be shifted to a major hospital. With no vehicular access, women employees had to wade through the dangerous stream, risking their own lives, to reach the village and transport the pregnant woman to a hospital in another district.
This is just one example. Incidents like this repeat every monsoon season. It’s a matter that not only affects the development of villages but also shames the state of public safety.
The People’s Demand
The State Revenue Minister and R&B Department officials must immediately construct a strong bridge on this road. This is not just a seasonal problem — it is a necessity to safeguard lives and maintain basic living standards.
"Build the bridge before more lives are lost in the water" — this is the urgent plea of the people, which the government must take seriously.#oursociety #oursocietynational #oursocietymeadiagroup
