This incident that took place in Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's own constituency Kuppam is a shame on humanity.

The victim's husband took a loan of ₹80,000 from a villager and some other institutions and ran away. The single woman has been slowly repaying the loan for the past six months by raising her children on daily wages.

This time, when the payment could not be made on time, the villagers all came together and considered themselves above the law and tied the woman to a tree with a rope in front of her daughter, abused her and beat her. This is the height of their arrogance.

We ask the Chief Minister #ncbn ji:

Will the Chief Minister trample on the dignity of women in your constituency so openly?

Do people have the freedom to take the law into their own hands in your own constituency?

Do laws not work in your government?

Action should be taken against the accused under strict sections.

Government protection and financial assistance should be provided to the victim woman.
