Government at the Doorstep of the People: Village Development is the Priority

Karimnagar District: The government is working with the objective of directly reaching people, understanding their problems and ensuring that the benefits of welfare schemes and development programmes reach every village and household, leaders said during the programme.

As part of the “Palle Palleku Ponnam Anna – Palle Pallalo Praja Palana” initiative, a public outreach programme was held at the Gram Panchayat premises in Lasmannapalli village of Saidapur Mandal, Karimnagar district.

During the programme, petitions concerning various issues were received from villagers. Several issues were brought to the attention of the concerned officials, and efforts were made to provide solutions on the spot. Villagers were also informed about various welfare schemes and development programmes being implemented under the Praja Palana government.

Details of various welfare and development programmes being implemented in Lasmannapalli were shared with the villagers.

  • Indiramma Houses: Seven Indiramma houses were sanctioned for the village in the first phase, and their construction has been completed. More houses will be sanctioned in the second phase.
  • LPG and Free Electricity: A total of 306 families in the village are benefiting from LPG cylinders at ₹500 and the 200-unit free electricity scheme.
  • Interest-Free Loans for Women: Interest-free loans amounting to ₹6.25 lakh have been provided to 19 women’s self-help group units.
  • Bank Guarantee: Funds amounting to ₹2.27 crore have been released under the bank guarantee scheme.
  • Rythu Bharosa: A total of ₹1.12 crore in Rythu Bharosa funds has been released to 249 farmers.
  • Farm Loan Waiver: Farm loans amounting to ₹3.63 crore have been waived in the village.
  • Fine Paddy Bonus: A total of ₹35 lakh in fine paddy bonus is being provided to 173 farmers.

Every Household Should Build a Recharge Pit

Villagers were encouraged to construct rainwater recharge pits at their homes to conserve groundwater. Under the Jalasiri programme, people were urged to create awareness and ensure the construction of recharge pits in every household.

The importance of conserving groundwater and ensuring community participation in water conservation efforts was emphasized. Every family was encouraged to contribute to protecting groundwater resources for future generations.

Applications Open for Social Security Pensions

Villagers were informed that the application process for seven types of social security pensions will continue until the 30th of this month.

All eligible beneficiaries were urged to make use of the opportunity and apply for the schemes. Officials and local representatives were also encouraged to ensure that eligible people receive proper guidance and assistance during the application process.

Encouraging Oil Palm Cultivation

Farmers were encouraged to take up oil palm cultivation to generate additional income and secure long-term economic benefits.

Farmers were urged to make full use of the incentives and support being provided by the government for oil palm cultivation. Developing alternative sources of agricultural income can help improve the financial stability of farming families, the leaders said.

The primary objective of the “Palle Palleku Ponnam Anna – Palle Pallalo Praja Palana” programme is to directly interact with people, understand their problems and identify immediate solutions wherever possible.

The initiative aims to ensure that people do not have to repeatedly visit government offices for basic services and welfare benefits. Instead, the government is reaching out to villages to understand local issues and deliver welfare and development benefits directly to the people.

Leaders emphasized that people’s participation is essential for the comprehensive development of Lasmannapalli. Villagers were encouraged to bring their concerns to the attention of officials so that appropriate action could be taken.

The programme highlighted the government's focus on people-oriented governance, rural development, farmer welfare, women’s empowerment, water conservation and the effective implementation of welfare schemes.
