We will implement every election promise in a phased manner — MLA Chintakunta Vijaya Ramana Rao
On Wednesday, Peddapalli MLA Sri Chintakunta Vijaya Ramana Rao laid foundation stones and inaugurated CC roads, drainage systems, and the Mahila Shakti Tailoring Center building in the villages of Chikkurayi, Bojjannapet, and Hanumanthunipet under Peddapalli mandal.
He also distributed Indiramma house proceedings and land documents to beneficiaries, applied traditional muggu designs, performed bhoomi pooja, and officially launched the development works.
Later, he participated in a Van Mahotsav (Forest Festival) held in Hanumanthunipet and planted saplings.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said:
“As promised during the elections, we are working to ensure that Indiramma houses are provided to the poor in every village. We are implementing the promises made within just one year in a phased manner. Every village is witnessing the construction of CC roads, drainage systems, and the provision of basic infrastructure.”
He highlighted that within 9 days, ₹9,000 crores were deposited into Ryot Bandhu accounts for farmers' investment support. He accused the BRS of deceiving people and said the Congress government is now delivering support directly to farmers' accounts.
The Congress government, after coming to power, sanctioned 4.5 lakh Indiramma houses in Phase 1 with a budget of ₹22,500 crores. The goal is to build 20 lakh Indiramma houses in the next three years.
The MLA assured:
“We are sanctioning houses transparently to the truly deserving and will distribute them in three more phases. We have already waived off ₹21,000 crores in farm loans at once. For the last 10 years, people waited for ration cards. But now, as soon as Congress came to power, eligible families are being issued ration cards.”
He added that no other state in the country distributes fine rice to the poor like Telangana. The government is providing ₹500 bonus per quintal of fine rice, and investment support under Ryot Bandhu has increased to ₹12,000 per acre, higher than ever before.
Other welfare schemes being implemented include:
-
Free bus travel for women in RTC buses
-
Arogyasri medical coverage increased to ₹10 lakhs
-
200 units of free electricity
-
Gas cylinders at ₹500
-
Fine rice distribution
He reiterated his commitment:
“Every eligible person will receive an Indiramma house.”
He noted that out of ₹38 crores allocated as a bonus for fine rice in Peddapalli district, ₹31 crores was disbursed exclusively to farmers in the Peddapalli constituency.
He further emphasized the large allocation of funds for improving infrastructure in villages.
At the newly established Newborn Care Unit at Peddapalli Government Hospital, over 100 children have already received quality healthcare, equivalent to corporate-level treatment, under the government facility.
The MLA mentioned that due to the bonus on fine rice declared by CM Revanth Reddy, seed companies are now:
-
Offering free paddy seeds
-
Bearing costs until the harvest reaches farmers
-
Increasing payments by ₹2,000 per acre, helping farmers earn up to ₹50,000 per acre
He said water was successfully provided for agriculture this summer without any drying of wells (guntas).
