Moolapadu Cricket Stadium to Be Developed as a Centre of Excellence

The Moolapadu Cricket Stadium in Ibrahimpatnam, NTR District, is set to be transformed into a world-class “Centre of Excellence,” according to officials of the Andhra Cricket Association. The announcement was made by ACA President and Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) and Association Secretary Sana Satish Babu.

Inspection Marks a Step Toward Development

On Wednesday, ACA representatives, along with architects and engineers, inspected the Moolapadu Cricket Stadium to assess existing facilities and discuss future expansion plans.

Speaking on the occasion, ACA President Kesineni Sivanath stated that the aim is not merely to use the stadium as a venue for matches but to develop it into a dedicated training hub to nurture talented cricketers.

Construction of 50 Additional Rooms

The stadium already has two cricket grounds. To enhance facilities for players, the association has decided to construct 50 additional rooms. These will provide accommodation for young cricketers arriving from across the state and country for training camps.

The move is expected to facilitate the hosting of state-level and national-level training programs in the future.

As part of the Centre of Excellence plan, the stadium is expected to include:
