Smart Ration Cards Distributed to Beneficiaries

Siddipet, Telangana: Smart Ration Cards were distributed to beneficiaries at the Vysya Convention Hall in Siddipet town as part of a programme aimed at extending the benefits of the public distribution system to eligible families.

The programme was attended by Siddipet District Collector Haimavathi, Additional Collector Lakshmi Kiran, Padmashali Federation Chairman Guduri Srinivas, Library Chairman Dharipalli Chandram, SC Commission Chairman Bakki Venkaiah, RTA Member Surya Varma, market committee chairpersons, and sarpanches from various villages.

Smart Ration Cards Distributed Across Six Constituencies

Smart Ration Cards were handed over to eligible beneficiaries belonging to six Assembly constituencies in Siddipet district. The distribution is expected to help beneficiaries access essential food supplies and government welfare benefits through the public distribution system.

The beneficiaries expressed happiness over receiving their ration cards after waiting for several years.

Beneficiaries Express Happiness

Several beneficiaries said that they had been waiting for ration cards for nearly 10 years. They said that after the new public government came to power last year, their applications were processed and they finally received ration cards.

The beneficiaries also expressed satisfaction that, with the availability of ration cards, they are now receiving six kilograms of fine-quality rice per person under the government’s food distribution programme.

For many families, the ration card is an important document that provides access to subsidised food grains and other welfare schemes. The beneficiaries said the issuance of the cards has brought considerable relief to their households.

Officials and Public Representatives Attend

The presence of senior district officials, public representatives and local leaders highlighted the importance of the programme. Officials emphasised the need to ensure that eligible families receive the benefits intended for them without unnecessary delays.

The distribution programme concluded with beneficiaries receiving their Smart Ration Cards and expressing gratitude for the government’s initiative.
