CPM Janagama district committee member Sunchu Vijender said that since the last four months, the district authorities are not paying attention to providing double bedroom houses to the deserving poor in Veldanda village of Narmetta mandal. On Friday, a protest program was held with placards under the auspices of the CPM at Ambedkar Square in the district center. On this occasion, CPM district committee members Sunchu Vijender said that they have demanded the suspension of Narmetta Tahsildar Srinivasu who is discriminating against the deserving poor by allocating the double bedroom houses built in Veldanda village of Narmetta mandal to the ruling party leaders and relatives of public representatives who have their own agricultural lands. The fact that they have their own land has been brought to the attention of the authorities many times, but the authorities have become stooges of the leaders of the ruling party even though they know the details.
They said that Narmeta Tahsildar MLA has become a stooge, forgetting that he is an officer and is degrading his status and is distributing double bedroom houses in the ways he likes without following the guidelines for distribution of double bedroom houses. They said that the poor people who were wronged in this matter approached the Telangana High Court and the Hon'ble High Court ordered to give them due justice, but the High Court is not implementing the order. They have warned that if justice is not given to the poor who have approached the High Court, they will march from Veldanda to Pragathi Bhawandan and bring it to the attention of the Chief Minister.
