Minister Seethakka – Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, Women and Child Welfare
Speaking to the Miss World contestants who visited the Indira Mahila Shakti Bazaar, Minister Seethakka said:
“The people’s government under the leadership of Revanth Reddy is working with the mission to transform one crore women into millionaires.
To ensure economic freedom for women, we are enabling various business ventures through women’s self-help groups.
We are realizing the dream of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the architect of our Constitution, who believed that women’s progress is society’s progress.
The visit of Miss World contestants to Telangana’s historical and cultural heritage sites is commendable.
These are not just heritage monuments—they are symbols of hardship, courage, and resistance.
In the history of civilization, the earliest societal structure was matriarchal, but over time the world shifted to a patriarchal system, causing women to lose their economic independence.
But times have changed—women are excelling in all fields today.
Hosting the Miss World pageant in Telangana after 72 years is a sign of transformation.
Beauty is not just physical appearance—
It is inner strength, intellect, independence of thought, and emotional resilience.
To help women regain the economic independence and empowerment they lost, we are implementing the Indira Mahila Shakti scheme in Telangana.
For us, women's empowerment is not just about financial development.
Empowerment means providing education, employment, financial strength, and equal rights.
Under CM Revanth Reddy’s leadership, the people’s government is working to uplift rural poor women economically.
As enshrined in the Constitution, we are striving to ensure a life of dignity for every woman.
The Indira Mahila Shakti Bazaar is a convergence of women’s dreams, skills, and hard work.
This place offers more than just products—it is a symbol of women’s success and transformational stories.
We invited Miss World contestants here to showcase that beauty queens and rural working women are equals.
Through this bazaar, we are introducing you to the mantra of "Local to Global."
This is not just a market—it is a symbol of social change.
Here, rural women are not only becoming financially independent but are also playing a key role in wealth creation.
Through women’s groups, we are operating petrol stations, power plants, poultry farms, buses, managerial roles—more than 20 types of businesses.
We are facilitating interest-free loans worth thousands of crores for over 46 lakh women SHG members through banks.
Women are repaying their loans in full, while big industrialists often turn into loan defaulters.
While industrialists escape repayment, women’s groups have a 100% repayment record.
We will fulfill Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s dream of turning one crore women into millionaires.
Indira Mahila Shakti stands as a beacon of empowerment, inclusive growth, and equality.
Our goal is:
Earn, Empower, Evolve.
Earning, empowerment, and social change are our guiding lights.
The Indira Mahila Shakti Bazaar is the platform for achieving that vision.
This is not just about economic opportunities—it is the foundation of a movement for social transformation.
All Miss World contestants visited the stalls set up by our women’s groups.
These are not just stalls—they are the pillars of a powerful tomorrow.
I hope you carry with you the spirit and strength of Telangana’s women.
Thank you to all the Miss World contestants who visited Indira Mahila Shakti Bazaar upon our invitation.
Telangana… Zaroor Aana… Baar Baar Aana!
Jai Hind! Jai Telangana! Jai Indira Mahila Shakti!
