Independence Day Celebrations Held Grandly at Telangana Bhavan in Khammam

Khammam: The 80th Independence Day celebrations were held in a grand manner at Telangana Bhavan, the BRS party office in Khammam district, on Saturday.

On the occasion, BRS MLC Tata Madhusudhan unfurled the National Flag in the presence of party leaders, activists and supporters. The gathering later joined together in singing the National Anthem.

Addressing the gathering, MLC Tata Madhusudhan paid rich tributes to the freedom fighters who made immense sacrifices, including laying down their lives, for India's independence. He said that the freedom and democratic rights enjoyed by citizens today are the result of the sacrifices made by generations of freedom fighters.

He called upon everyone to preserve the legacy and spirit of the freedom struggle and to discharge their responsibilities towards strengthening the country's unity, integrity and development. He also stressed the importance of passing the stories and sacrifices of the freedom fighters on to future generations.

Recalling the Telangana statehood movement, Tata Madhusudhan said that former Chief Minister and BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) had led the movement from the front and played a key role in achieving statehood for Telangana. He observed that the Telangana movement, too, was inspired by the spirit of struggles for rights and self-respect.

The MLC extended his warm Independence Day greetings to the people of Khammam district, BRS leaders, party workers and supporters. He expressed his wishes for peace, prosperity and all-round development in India, Telangana and Khammam district.

Later, senior BRS leader and Telangana movement activist Pagadala Narender unfurled the BRS party flag at the venue.

A large number of BRS leaders, party workers, Telangana movement activists and supporters participated in the celebrations.
